Entry Assessment
This lesson is based on the students having the following prior knowledge
Students have been given an introductory class on some of the drugs, and their classes and classifications. The students are given a sense of potential determinants on health. Students are now required to analyse how smoking in specific can be influenced by personal, interpersonal and societal factors and how the wellbeing of this individual can be impacted short to long term.

We’re only learning about a few times of drugs, and these will be central to your exam.

What’s in a cigarette?
Think of smoking as a domino effect if something goes wrong. If one dimension of wellbeing is affected it is likely others will entail.

if one falls then others are affected which can then perpetuate a larger problem.

This lesson is based on the students having the following prior knowledge
Students have explored the impacts of short term and long term health detriments on communities, families and individuals. Going further, students will learn about the history and growth of tobacco/cigarettes via the video “we love cigarettes”. The video will help broaden their perspective on this specific drug clarifying many misconceptions they may carry with them.
